Changes for the Next Two Weeks:
Yesterday afternoon we received a notice from the Y that they will be closing their facility until at least March 30. This closing includes all activities including our church services. After prayerful consideration and recommendation from the CDC to not meet in groups larger than 10 people, we will NOT be gathering for our Sunday morning worship service for the next two weeks. We believe this best honors our authorities and demonstrates genuine love for the people of CBC and the people whom we interact with on a daily basis.
Our plan is to live-stream a shorter service at 10:00am from The LIFE Center. A small production team will be attending in order to make sure everything goes online without a hitch. Our goal is to be able to present the live-stream directly from our website (http://www.cbcocala.org/gathered-while-scattered/) along with our other social media outlets and phone app. There will be more updates as the week goes on.
Our Introduction to Biblical Soul Care and Discipleship seminar that was scheduled for Saturday will be postponed to a later date TBD as will the evangelism/apologetics course.
Our aim is to please God in these difficult decisions by joyfully being inconvenienced as this will allow us to best love the elderly, the sick, and the most vulnerable people in our community. In between Sundays, Josh will be producing a daily “Gather While Scattered” video that will be on Facebook as well as the website address above. We encourage you to view these as a regular way to remove worry and replace it with worship.
If there are needs that you and/or your family have, please do not hesitate to ask. We have people who have volunteered to shop, or perform other errands as a way of demonstrating our love for one another. You can simply email email@example.com or call the church office at (352) 680-0056
